Day, Frederick

Born Hull 1889. Eldest son of Ellen Day (1860-1924), of 41 Walton Street, Hull (1911 Census) and 57 Glencoe Street, Newington, Hull, and the late Robert Roger Day (1862-1907). A fish Merchant’s Clerk. He enlisted in Hull. Served in France, from 17/04/1915 as Company Quartermaster Sergeant, in the 4th East Yorkshire Regiment. Died of Broncho Pneumonia, on 15/07/1918, aged 29. His army effects were left to his mother Ellen at this war pension address.

He is buried at Etaples, France. His grave reads, “WORTHY OF EVERLASTING REMEMBRANCE”
