Denman, George Henry

Born Hull 1881. Son of Henry Denman (1856-1934) and Hannah Denman (1856-1911), of 76, St Marks Street, Hull . He had three brothers and four sisters.

He worked as a Dock Labourer. Married on 25 Dec 1907 • St Marks, Hull.

Husband of Susan Ellen DAY (1888-1973), of 7, Eugiene Terrace, Kent Street, Holderness Road, Hull (War Pension address). They had three children.

Enlisted on 04/8/1914. Served in the 1/4th EYR. Posted to France, on 17/4/1915. Discharged on 18/2/1919. Awarded the Silver War Badge (No: 476089). Died on 24/05/1928, aged 48.

His brother Private, Herbert Denman R.A.S.C. Reg No. M/20505 – died in Bagdad, on 22/11/1921, aged 36.

His brother, Driver, Frederick Denman (1893-1956) served in the Royal Field Artillery. Reg No. 765591.

His brother, Private, William Denman (1896-1934), served as 14/76, East Yorkshire Regiment.
