Dixon, Albert Edwin

Born Hull, 1892. Son of John William Dixon and Elizabeth Ann Dixon, of 2, Mona Avenue Cave Street, Beverley Road, Hull (1911 Census) and 36, Temple Street, Hull (army address). He had two sisters and one younger brother, Percy William Dixon.

Married at Hull on 8 April 1912. Husband of Jessie Illingworth at 4, Poplar Grove, Sculcoates Lane, Hull (Probate address). He worked as a Labourer. Dscribed as 5 foot, 5.5 inches tall, 35-27.5 inch chest,

He enlisted at Hull, on 17 April 1915, aged 22. Served as a Driver, in the 32nd Hull Divisional Ammunition Column, Royal Field Artillery. wounded by shell on 8 Oct 1917. Gassed on 4 April 1918. Discharged with gas poisoning, on 16 Jul 1919. Died on 19/05/1924, aged 32.

He left £53 in his Will, to his widow, Jessie.
