Dunhill, Fred

Born Hull, 1881. Son of Harriett Bell (formerly Dunhill) and the late Joseph Dunhill, of 1, Thomas Place, Thornton Street, Hull (War Pension address). He lived at 10 Providence Place, Porter Street, Hull.

He was a regular soldier with twelve years service. He served with the 7th East Yorkshire Regiment and was wounded five months ago, after ten months in France. He was killed on 1st July 1916, aged 35. Buried at Fricourt Cemetery, at the Somme.

His army effects were left to his mother, who re-married, on 16/08/1919, and became Harriet Scarborough.
