BORN HULL 28/04/1894. SON OF GEORGE EDWARD DUNN (1863-1939) AND SUSAN HESK (1869-1899). HIS FATHER REMARRIED IN 1899 AND HIS STEPMOTHER WAS CHARLOTTE MARY  KENDELL OF 17, SWINBURNE STREET, HULL. HE HAD FOUR SISTERS AND THREE BROTHERS, PLUS HALF SIBLINGS.

HE WORKED AS A MILKMAN WITH HIS FATHER, LIVING AT 17 SWINBURNE STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS).

HE ENLISTED ON 19TH OCTOBER 1915. SERVED IN THE ROYAL MARINE LIGHT INFANTRY. DIED ON 24TH BIRTHDAY. POSTED TO IRELAND, ON 20/04/1916. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 25/09/1916. KILLED AT ARRAS, ON 28/04/1917, AGED 23.

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE ST AIDENS CHURCH, WW1 MEMORIAL PLAQUE, SOUTHCOATES AVENUE, HULL.

HIS BROTHERS CHARLES AND WILLIAM DUN ALSO SERVED IN THE ROYAL NAVY.
