Ellis, Harry

BORN HULL 1897. SON OF MARCUS REGINALD & LILIAN (COLLINSON) ELLIS, OF 16 , EGGINGTON STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). BEFORE THE WAR WORKED FOR MESSRS CLARK, WATERHOUSE LANE, AS A COPPER SMITH APPRENTICE.

HE ENLISTED AT HULL, IN  JULY 1915. SERVED WITH THE 13TH NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. KILLED IN ACTION A YEAR LATER, 18/07/1916, AGED 20.

HIS NAME IS LISTED ON HULL’S KINGS HALL CHURCH MEMORIAL, & THE SYMON STREET ROLL OF HONOUR.

LEFT BROTHERS CHARLES & WALTER ELLIS. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 11TH AUGUST 1916.
