Born Sheffield 1882. Son of James and Elizabeth Greenwood, of 21 Cecil Rd., Highfield, Sheffield. Born at Sheffield. Lost in the North Sea, on the Hull steam trawler CORNELIAN (H506) Lost with all hands, on 14th January 1916. His name is listed on Hull’s Hessle Road, Naval Memorial.
