Feirn, Tom Spink

Born Hull, 1876. Son of George Feirn (1842-1892) and Isabella Spink (1852-1920), of Hull & Kitchen Lane, Beverley (Mother’s Probate Address). He had three brothers and two sisters. He served in the South Africa war, as Private, 6279, 2nd East Yorkshire Regiment.

He emigrated to Canada, on 10/04/1906, aged 29. Worked as a hired, Farm Labourer, in Ontario. Enlisted at Ottawa. Served with the 34th Canadian Expeditionary Force. Died at Shorncliffe Barracks, Kent, on 03/06/1916, aged 40.

His brother, George William Feirn ((1874-1924) served in the Royal Navy. His other brother, Robert Feirn (1885-1915) died in Beverley, in 1915, aged 30.
