BORN ELSTERNWICK, PRESTON, 16/031895. SON OF HENRY & CHARLOTTE (JARVIS) FROM ELSTERNWICK COTTAGE, PRESTON. EDUCATED AT STONEFERRY SCHOOL.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 21/10/1915. SERVED WITH THE 3RD EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. WOUNDED IN FRANCE. HE DIED ON 20/01/1919, AGED 25, AT THE VOLUNTARY AID DETACHMENT HOSPITAL, COTTINGHAM ROAD, HULL.

BURIED AT HULL HEDON ROAD CEMETERY.
HIS DEATILS ARE RECORDED IN THE DE RUVIGNY ROLL OF HONOUR, VOLUME 5.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED WITH HIS BROTHER, ON THE ELSTERNWICK * DANTHORPE WW1 MEMORIAL, WHERE 24 MEN SERVED AND 4 DIED IN WW1. GEORGE EDWARD FENN IS ALSO RECORDED ON THE HUMBLETON WW1 MEMORIAL  (47 MEN AND 6 DIED).

HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, HERBERT FENN, SERVED WITH THE 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 09/06/1918, AGED 21. BURIED AT ACHEUX BRITISH CEMETERY, SOMME, FRANCE.
HIS MOTHER MRS FENN ALSO LOST A YOUNG BROTHER, ARTHUR JARVIS, EYR.
