HE MARRIED AT SCULCOATES, HULL, IN 1907. HUSBAND OF ETHEL CASSON (1886-1941), OF 14, HAMLYN AVENUE, HULL.
EDUCATED AT HYMERS COLLEGE. HE WAS PARTNER IN HIS FATHER’S FIRM, MESSRS, FERRABY & HARE, WATERHOUSE LANE, HULL. HE WORKED AS A RUSSIAN MAT IMPORTER AND FISH MANAGER (1911 CENSUS).
HE WAS COMMISSIONED AS A LIEUTENANT INTO THE 4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. POSTED TO THE FRONT ON 13/07/1915. HE WAS BADLY WOUNDED BY GUNSHOT, IN THE UPPER, LEFT THIGH, ON 17/03/1916. HE DIED OF WOUNDS, AT WIMEREUX BASE HOSPITAL, ON 07/04/1916, AGED 29. HE WAS PICTURED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 20/03/1916. *
