Born Hatfield, Yorkshire, 1895. Eldest Son of Arthur Edward Fillingham, of 6, Woodbine Terrace, Newland Avenue, Hull and 68, Cottingham Road, Hull (War Pension address). A Shop Assistant – Fruiter (1911 Census address). he had one younger brother, Arthur Edward and one sister, Muriel Fillingham.
He enlisted at West hull. Served as Gunner, 755437, “A” Bty. 251st Bde., Royal Field Artillery. Died a Prisoner of war, in Germany, on 21/09/1918, aged 23. Buried in France.
His army effects were left to his father, Arthur.
