Fogarty, Reginald

Born Hull, 1884. Son of Herbert Fogarty and Sophia Conyers, of New Clee, Lincs., and 86, Watkin Street, Grimsby (War Pension address). Son of a Fish Dealer. He had three brothers and one sister. He was a Professional Soldier, serving with the Royal Horse Artillery, in India (1911 Census) when war began.

He enlisted at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Served as Driver, 34905, Royal Horse Artillery, “O” Bty. 5th Bde. Killed in action, on 14/08/1918, aged 34. He is commemorated on the Vis-En-Artois memorial, France.

His brother, Private, Edgar Fogarty, was born in Boston, Lincs, served as 30496, 1st Dublin Fusiliers and died of wounds, on 14/10/1918, aged 30.
