BORN HULL 1886. ELDEST SON OF JOHN HENRY FOX (1858-1943), AND ANNIE MARIE FOX OF 42, LOUIS STREET, HULL. SON OF A GLASS WINDOW MANUFACTURER. HE HAD TWO BROTHERS, CYRIL AND CLIFFORD. HE WAS EDUCATED AT HULL GRAMMAR SCHOOL. WORKED AS A COAL EXPORTER MANAGER (1911 CENSUS).

MARRIED IN 1913. HUSBAND OF ETHEL MAY (1892-1985), AT 42, LOUIS STREET, HULL AND 18, PEARSON AVENUE, BEVERLEY ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE ENLISTED IN HULL SERVED AS COMPANY SERGANT MAJOR IN THE THE ROYAL GARRISON ARTILLERY. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 30/09/1916, AGED 30.BURIED ON THE SOMME, FRANCE.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE HULL GRAMMAR SCHOOL MEMORIAL.

HIS BROTHER, CYRIL BERKLEY FOX SERVED AS A COMPANY SERGEANT MAJOR, IN THE ROYAL ARMY SERVICE CORPS.
