Gardner, Frederick William

Boorn Hull 1895. Second Son of Fredrich and Alice Gardner, of 22, Fawcitt Street, Hull (1911 Census) and 32, Great Passage Street, Hull (War Pension Address). Son of a Dockside Labourer. He had four brothers and three sisters. he was employed as a labourer in the Hemp Mills.

Enlisted in Hull, on 30 Aug 1914. Posted to France, on 2 Aug 1915. Served in the 7th East Yorkshire Regiment. Discharged on 11 Oct 1916.  Awarded the Silver War Badge (No: 131792), Died in Hull, on 16 Oct 1925, aged 30.

His elder brother Arthur served in WW1, as Sapper, 125612, Royal Engineers
