Garrod, Arthur

Born Mundford, Norfolk, 1887. Son of  Robert Bristow Garrod (1858-1896) and Fanny Susannah Taylor (1866-1932), of 11, Lockwood Street, Hull (War Pension address). He had four brothers and a sister and seven half siblings when his widowed mother remarried.

Enlisted Norwich. Served in the 1st Essex regiment. Died at sea, on HMS “Royal Edward”, at Gallipoli, on 13/08/1915, aged 28. His army effects were left to his mother, Fanny.

His brother Cecil Edward Garrod, 21729, EYR was killed in action, on 14/07/1916.
