BORN HULL 1890. SON OF CHARLES & JULIA GIBLIN – 5 HILDAS GROVE, LEE SMITH STREET, HULL. ELDEST OF SEVEN CHILDREN. HE WAS AN APPRENTICE BOILER MAKER & HIS FATHER WAS A BOILER MAKER. LIVED AT 5 HILDA’S GROVE, LEE SMITH STREET IN 1901 AND 3 WALLER STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS).

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRES. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 17/04/1915. PROMOTED SERGEANT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 27/12/1917, AGED 27. HE LEFT HIS ARMY AFFECTS TO HIS MOTHER, AT 3 EMPRINGHAM STREET, HEDON ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
