BORN HULL 1887 . ELDEST SON OF FREDERICK WILLIAM GOODERHAM (1864-1929) & LUCY ANN HEALEY (1866-1953), OF 29, AIRLIE STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). HE HAD TWO YOUNGER BROTHERS. A POSTMAN.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A SERGEANT IN THE EAST RIDING, ROYAL GARRISON ARTILLERY. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 23/06/1915, AGED 29. BURIED AT HULL WESTERN CEMETERY. HIS NAME WAS LISTED ON ST MATTHEWS CHURCH, WW1 MEMORIAL, BOULEVARD.
HE IS PHOTOGRAPHED WITH HIS TWO BROTHERS AND FATHER WHO ALL SERVED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 8TH APRIL 1915. *
HIS FATHER, BANDSMAN, FREDERICK GOODERHAM, SERVED 12 YEARS IN THE 2ND EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, INCLUDING THE AFGHAN WAR, AND 20 YEARS IN THE 2ND HULL VOLUNTEERS; HIS BROTHERS WERE, SIGNALLER, WILLIAM GOODERHAM, 5TH LINCOLNS; DRUMMER, 10557, GEORGE GOODERHAM, WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, (WOUNDED AT GALLIPOLI, SILVER WAR BADGE NO:123900). HIS UNCLE (MOTHER’S ONLY BROTHER) GEORGE MIDDLEBROOK SERVED WITH THE ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE.
