BORN HULL 1892. HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE OLD TOWN MEMORIAL. HIS PARENTS LIVED AT 19 MYTON GATE, HULL. HE MARRIED MRS E R (DUNKLEY) IN HULL, 1914. THEY LIVED AT 124 HOLME CHURCH, BEVERLEY. HE ENLSITED AT THE OUTBREAK OF WAR AND SERVED IN THE DARDENELLES. PREVIOUSLY, HE WORKED AT EARLE’S SHIP YARD AND HE PLAYED IN THE SITWELL STREET SILVER BAND. HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS DRUMMER, 11023, 9TH WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. LEFT FOR GALLIPOLI, ON 13/07/1915. WAS REPORTED MISSING WITH HIS MATE, DRUMMER, WEST, 9TH WYR, AND THEY ARE BOTH PHOTOGRAPHED TOGETHER IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 4TH OCTOBER 1915. * HIS DEATH WAS CONFIRMED AS 07/08/1915, AGED 24. REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 1ST NOVEMBER 1916, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH.*
