BORN HULL 07/01/1894. SON OF GEORGE CHARLES GRIMWOOD (1865-1910) & ELIZABETH SCAIFE (1870-1899). HE HAD THREE BROTHERS.

HE JOINED THE ROYAL NAVY, ON14/10/1909, AGED 15. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 7.5 INCHES TALL, 34 INCH CHEST, BROWN HAIR, HAZEL EYES. SERVED AS ABLE SEAMAN, ON HMS “WALPOLE”.  DIED OF INFLUENZA, ON 29/10/1918, AGED 24.

HIS BROTHER GEORGE (RNR) LIVED AT 35, REDBOURNE STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS).

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON HULL’S WALKER STREET MEMORIAL.
Brother of George Grimwood, of 35A, Redbourne St., Hessle Rd., Hull. Alternative Commemoration – buried in Hull (Holy Trinity, Hessle Road) Cemetery.
