Hall, John William

Tickton Memorial Plinth, St Pauls Church.

Born Kirkburn, Yorkshire, 1893. Son of the late John W. and S. J. Hall, of 36, Norwood Grove, Beverley; husband of Ethel Hall, of Hull Bridge, Beverley, Yorks. Employed as a Gardener in Tickton and Beverley (1911 Census) and living the Woddmancey family.

He enlisted in Beverley. Served with the Hull Commercials, 10th East Yorkshire regiment. He was killed in action, on 03/09/1918, aged 26.

He is buried at LE GRAND BEAUMART BRITISH CEMETERY, STEENWERCK.

He is commemorated on the Tickton ww1 memorial.
