HE ENLISTED AT HULL, ON 14/09/1914. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 6.5 INCHES TALL, 153 LBS WEIGHT, 38 INC CHEST., BLUE EYES, BROWN HAIR, “RUDDY” COMPLEXION, CHURCH OF ENGLAND RELIGION. SERVED WITH THE 12TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT (HULL PALS) IN EGYPT AND FRANCE. KILLED IN ACTION, 27/05/1916, AGED 33. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, WILLIAM.

HE LEFT A WIDOW AND THREE CHILDREN. SISTERS CLARA, ALICE & ADA AND BROTHER THOMAS HALL.
