Hall, Sidney Edward

Born Hull, 01/09/1897. Son of Thomas and Alice Hall, of Hull (1901  census) and Bowsman, Manitoba, Canada. The family emigrated from Hull to Alberta, Edmonton, Canada in 1907.

Sidney Edward Hall was a single man, and farmer in Canada. Described as 5 foot, 5 inches tall, 37-42 inch chest, grey eyes, fair hair, church of England religion. He had two brothers and four sisters.

Enlisted at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, on 21/01/1916, aged 19. Served in the 43rd Canadian Expeditionary Force. Killed in action, in the trenches near Lens, on 21/04/1918, aged 21.

His brother, Horace William Hall, also served with the Canadians.
