Born Hull, 1889. Eldest child and Only son of Hugh Hall and Anne Dawson (1858-1948), of 14, Williamson Street, Holderness Road, Hull (war Pension address). he had four sisters. Worked as a joiner Foreman.
Enlisted Hull. Posted to France, on 17th April, 1915. Served with the 1/4th East Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action, on 24/05/1915, aged 26.
Commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) memorial, Belgium.
