AN EX SHIPPING CLERK. HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A SERGEANT, WITH THE ROYAL HORSE ARTILLERY.  TRANSFERRED TO “B” BATTERY, 250TH BRIGADE, ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 27/05/1918, AGED 24. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE SOISSONS MEMORIAL, AISNE, FRANCE. NO HULL ADDRESS TRACED.
