Harrison, George

Born Hull, 20/07/1891. Son of George Harrison (1858-1895) and Jane Peach (1851-1901). He was a Farm Waggoner on Burton Pidsea Farm (1911 Census)

He married at Burton Pidsea, on 04/05/1912. Husband of Martha Mildred Maltby (1890-1919), of 3 Bohemia Terrace, Finsbury Street, Hull (war pension address). He worked as a Railway Rullyman and Shunter, in Hull. His wife died on 19/02/1919, leaving a son and daughter. 

He enlisted on 27/04/1916. During the war, he served in the Royal Engineers (railway Troops), E. Yorkshire, Sherwood Foresters, and Labour Corps. Served overseas and Discharged with sickness, on 08/07/1919. He was awarded the Silver War Badge (No: B248279).

He died of Acute Bronchitis and chill, Pneumonia, Cardiac failure, on 21/12/1929, aged 38.
