Harrison, Henry Bernard

BORN HULL 1885. SON OF PHILLIP SPENCE HARRISON (1833-1885) AND MARTHA ELIZABETH HARRISON (1840-1907), OF 4 ARTHUR TERRACE, ARTHUR STREET, HULL.

HE MARRIED, GERTIE BRAY RICHARDSON, AT SCULCOATES, HULL, IN 1907. THEY LIVED AT 3, CLOVELLY AVENUE, DE LA POLE STREET, HULL. WORKED AS A RAILWAY ENGINE STOKER BEFORE THE WAR.

HE ENLISTED AT HULL. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 118, 13TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. SERVED IN EGYPT AND FRANCE. TRANSFERRED TO THE ACCRINGTON PALS. KILLED IN ACTION ON THE 2ND JULY 1916, AGED 31.

COMMEMORATED AT THIEPVAL, ON THE SOMME. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE RETURNED TO HIS WIDOW GERTIE, AT 9 VILLA TERRACE, ALEXANDRA STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESSS). HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, TO THE MISSING.
