Born Skidby, Yorkshire, 10/01/1879.  Son of William and Edith Harrison, of, 9, Ripon Street, Hull (naval Address) and 3, Princes Street, Craven Street, Hull (War Pension address). Worked as a flour miller and pit prop carrier. Lived at 2, Newtons Entry, Salthouse Lane, Hull (1911 Census).

Joined the Royal Navy, on 10/01/1897. Described as 5 foot, 5 inches tall, brown hair, grey eyes. Joined the Royal Naval Reserve, on 15/04/1905. Re-enrolled in the Navy on 15/04/1910.

Served as Able Seaman, Royal Navy. Lost at sea on HMS “ABOUKIR”, on 22/09/1914, aged 35. Commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial, Kent
