SON OF ROBERT HARRISON & ELIZABETH LYONS, OF 2, PROVIDENCE PLACE, CANNON STREET, HULL , 3, JOHN’S PLACE, DINSDALE SQUARE, NEW GEORGE STREET, HULL AND 18, MONTROSE AVENUE, GIBSON STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESSES). SON OF AN OIL MILL LABOURER. HE HAD FIVE BROTHERS AND ONE SISTER. ONE OF THREE BROTHERS, KILLED IN WW1.

HIS WIFE, BEATRICE FROGGETT (1891- 1957) & DAUGHTER, HARRIET (1914- 1994), LIVED AT 8, FRED’S TERRACE, ST PAUL STREET, HULL. HE HAD BEEN IN THE ARMY FOR TEN YEARS AND WAS THE PLATOON’S ACTING SERGEANT, “B” COMPANY, 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 09/08/1915, AGED 29. HIS DEATH AND PHOTOGRAPH APPEAR IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 2ND SEPTEMBER 1915, AND THE 11TH SEPTEMBER 1915. *
