Private, Frank A. Head, 1st Royal Dublin Fusiliers, was born in Sunderland, County Durham, on 1st July 1896. Son of Rose Amelia Head, of 26, Wright Street, Hull (War Pension address). He lived in Hull and enlisted in London. He was killed in action, at Gallipoli, on 04/06/1915. His parents lived at 57 Trinity Street (Army address) and 75 Spring Street, Hull (HDM Address) and 26, Wright Street, Hull (War Pension address).. His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail, on 10/09/1918. His army effects were left to his father, William Head and mother, Rose Amelia Hembley, who moved to 26 Wright Street, Hull (Pension Ledger address)

His brother, Second Lieutenant, Arthur William Head, MM, Royal Field Artillery was killed in action, on 06/09/1918, aged 26. His other brother, Gunner, Bertram Head, RGA, was wounded three times. His father was a Company Sergeant Major, in the Royal Garrison Artillery, with over 40 years military service and trained artillery recruits at the Barracks, Park Street, Hull.
