Hoggard, John Henry

Tickton Memorial Plinth, St Pauls Church.

Born Tickton 1877. Son of Charles and Sarah Hoggard. A General farm labourer. He resided in Tickton. Enlisted at Beverley, Served with the 2nd South Staffordshire Regiment. Killed in action at Arras, on 28/04/1917, aged 40. His army effects were left to his widowed mother, Sarah, and shared with his brothers, Robert and George, and sister, Sarah Ann and Susannah.
