MARRIED NELLIE BEATRICE HALL, AT SKIDBY, 17/07/1907.  THEY HAD FOUR CHILDREN, LIVING T 10 SLOE LANE, BEVERLEY. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 8.5 INCHES TALL, CHEST SIZE 37-40 INCHES. WORKED AS A TANNER’S LABOURER.

ENLISTED BEVERLEY, ON 10/12/1915. EX. 24605 EYR. TRANSFERRED TO THE 14TH YORK AND LANCS REGIMENT, ON 01/09/1916. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 15/10/1916. KILLED IN ACTION. HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, CHARLES MARSHALL HORNER, 9TH NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS, DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 17/05/1918, AGED 32. BOTH NAMES ARE LISTED ON THE BEVERLEY WW1 MEMORIAL.
