BORN CANNING TOWN, ESSEX 1890. SON OF ELIZABETH & GEORGE TURNER HUSDSON, AT 58 DURHAM STREET, HULL. THEIR THREE AND ONLY SONS ALL SERVED IN THE WAR. JOSEPH HUDSON ENLISTED AT CANNING TOWN, LONDON. SERVED IN THE 7TH , 9TH & 11TH RIFLE BRIGADE. WAS IN FRANCE FOR ELEVENS MONTHS, BEFORE BEING WOUNDED IN 1916. HE WAS KILLED ON 20/09/1917, AGED 27.

HIS BROTHER, SAPPER C.E. HUDSON WAS WOUNDED IN 1916. ANOTHER BROTHER G.W. HUDSON SERVED ON THE STEAM SHIP “ARRO” AND WAS CAPTURED. THE BROTHERS ARE PHOTOGRAPHED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 11/09/1916.
