BORN BEVERLEY 13/11/1892.  SON OF WILLIAM (1860-1914) & SABRINA HUNSLEY (1863-1927), OF NORWOOD, BEVERLEY. FARM LABOURER AND CATTLEMAN. ENLISTED HULL.  SERVED AS A DRIVER IN THE ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. ACCIDENTALLY WOUNDED AND DIED, ON  17/08/1916, AGED 23, AT 13TH GENERAL HOSPITAL, BOULOGNE. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, SABRINA. HE IS BURIED AT BOULOGNE EASTERN CEMETERY, FRANCE; PLOT V111:B:143

Herbert Hunsley was born on 13 November 1892. He was the younger of two sons born to William and Sabina Hunsley, He served as Gunner and then Driver with the Hull Ammunition column, attached to 32nd Divisional Ammunition Column, Royal Field Artillery.

Herbert died from head injuries on 17 August 1916 following an accident in France. He was aged 23.
