He enlisted at Hull. Served in the 1st East Yorkshire Regiment. Accidentally killed, while on active service, on 22/02/1917, aged 30
Husband of Julia Hunter, of 16, Bridge Street, Cleethorpes Road, Grimsby (War Pension address). They had three children. His widow married Arthur Bradshaw, Chief Engineer, on 1st Dec 1917.
