MARRIED FRANCES MARIA KNUDSON, AT HULL, ON 05/12/1907. ENLISTED IN THE ROYAL NAVY RESERVE. SERVED AS SECOND HAND ON THE TRAWLER, ‘COTSMUIR’. PRESUMED LOST 02/02/1917, AGED 32. LEFT WIDOW AND DAUGHTER LILY (1910-2009).
On 02/02/1917 the HMT COTSMUIR (FY1537) disappeared on passage from River Tyne to River Humber. All 13 crew were lost. On was service, the ship never fished commercially. The following Hull men were lost in the crew of 13.
