HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 1525, 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED BY A SNIPER,, ON 05/11/1915, AGED 19. HIS PHOTOGRAPH APPEARS IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 7TH SEPTEMBER 1915. *
HE IS BURIED AT CHAPELLE-D’ARMENTIERES NEW MILITARY CEMETERY, FRANCE.

HIS FATHER MARRIED ALICE HODGES WHEN HIS MOTHER DIED. SHE HAD SIX SONS SERVING IN THE WAR. THE TWO JACKSON BROTHERS AND SIX HODGE, STEP BROTHERS ARE PHOTOGRAPHED IN UNIFORM, IN THE HDM, 28/06/1916. *HDM
