BORN HULL 1879. SON OF WALTER & SUSANNAH JACKSON, OF 51 CLIFTON STREET, HULL. AN ASSISTANT SCHOOLMASTER. HE MARRIED AT FORREST GATE, ESSEX, ON 03/06/1906. HUSBAND OF AMY EMILIE (RICHARDSON) LIVED AT 36 WOLSELEY ROAD, FOREST GATE, ESSEX. BROTHER TO GEORGE A JACKSON BORN 1881. SISTERS, BEATRICE AND WINIFRED.

HE SERVED AS PRIVATE, 682095, IN THE 22ND LONDON REGIMENT. STATIONED IN FRANCE FOR THREE MONTHS, AND PALESTINE FOR 10 MONTHS. HE DIED ON 13/10/1918, AGED 39. HE HAD WORKED FOR THE LONDON COUNTY COUNCIL BEFORE THE WAR AND IS LISTED IN THE LONDON COUNTY COUNCIL RECORDS OF WAR SERVICE (PUBLISHED 1922).
HE IS BURIED AT RAMLEH WAR CEMETERY. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “LORD ALL-PITYING, JESU BLEST GRANT HIM THINE ETERNAL REST”.
