EMPLOYED AS A TAILOR’S ASSISTANT. ENLISTED HULL. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 203474, 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 19/07/1917, AGED 20. HE IS BURIED AT HENINEL COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, PAS DE CALAIS, FRANCE. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, MISPELT AS MAURICE.
