BORN HULL 1889. SON OF JAMES WILLIAM & FRANCES JAGGER, OF 16, PARK TERRACE, CAVE STREET, HULL AND 1, WATERLOO TERRACE, WATERLOO STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HE HAD BEEN SENT TO A BOYS INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL FOR TRUANCY AS A CHILD. WORKED AS AN OIL MILL LABOURER AND THEN JOINED THE 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT (1911 CENSUS).
HE ENLISTED AT BEVERLEY. SERVED WITH THE 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 10/07/1915, AGED 26. BURIED IN BELGIUM.
HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, AT 1 WATERLOO TERRACE, WATERLOO STREET, HULL (PENSION LEDGER ADDRESS)
