BORN HULL 24/3/1876. SON OF CHRISTOPHER & MARTHA JEAKINS. HE SERVED OVER THREE YEARS IN MINE SWEEPERS AND PRIOR TO THE WAR WAS CHIEF ENGINEER WITH THE RED CROSS TRAWLING COMPANY FOR ELEVEN YEARS. REPORTED IN HDM ON 23/9/19, AS ACCIDENTALLY KILLED, AT STROMNESS HARBOUR, ORKNEY ISLANDS. LIVED WITH HIS SISTER MRS BAXTER, AT THIS ADDRESS, ACCORDING TO HIS NAVAL RECORDS. HIS LATE WIFE WAS HARRIET JEAKINS. HIS PHOTOGRAPH WAS PRINTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 23RD SEPTEMBER 1919. *
