HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 1/5TH BORDER REGIMENT, ‘D’ COMPANY. DIED OF WOUNDS AT MANCHESTER MILITARY HOSPITAL, ON 03/10/1916, AGED 22. BURIED HEDON ROAD CEMETERY.
HIS OLDER BROTHER, PRIVATE, EDWARD STEPHEN JOHNSON, 31027, 1ST EYR, WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 09/04/1917, AGED 24. THEY WERE SURVIVED BY THEIR ONLY YOUNGEST BROTHER, HARRY.
