Johnson, George William

Born Hull, 1887. Son of George and Mary Jane Johnson, of 6, Albert Dock terrace, Bean Street, Hull. Husband of Beatrice Lillian Singleton, of 50 Clyde Street, Hawthorne Avenue, Hull (War Pension address). He had four younger brothers and a sister was a Telegraph Messenger (1901 Census)

Enlisted at Hull, on 17/09/1914. Served in the 12th EYR (hull Pals). Discharged with Malaria, on 1 Jan 1918. Awarded the British War Medal and Victory Medal and Silver Wound Badge (no: 299037). He died at Hull, in 1930 aged 43.
