Johnson, Henry

Gunner, Harold Johnson, RFA

Born Pocklington, 1898. Son of Henry Johnson and Elizabeth Rooks. Son of a shepherd. He had two brothers and six sisters.

Served as Gunner, Henry Johnson, in the  2nd (Northumbrian) Brigade, Royal field Artillery, Ammunition Column. Killed in an accident, at Doncaster, involving an army wagon, aged 17, on 26th December 1915. He is buried at Pocklington Churchyard.
