HE ENLISTED IN THE HULL PALS. TRANSFERRED TO THE 4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED OF DYSENTERY WHILST A PRISONER OF WAR, ON 01/10/1918, AGED 32. BURIED IN GERMANY.

HE WAS PICTURED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 10/09/1918. *

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, EDITH DAVISON AND THEIR SON JOHN, AT 6, WATERLOO PLACE, JOHN STREET, HULL. HIS WIDOW RE-MARRIED AND MOVED TO 64, NORNABELL STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESSES).
