BORN 1896. ONLY SON OF WILLIAM JUBB (1861-1924) & EDITH THEODORA PETERS (1866-1953), OF 6, ARTHUR TERRACE, COURTNEY STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). SON OF AN UNEMPLOYED JOINER (1911 CENSUS). HE JOINED RECKITT’S CANISTER WORKS ON 19/9/1912.

HE ENLISTED AUGUST 1914, SERVED IN EGYPT, SALONIKA & FRANCE. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 3/9668, 9TH WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 27/09/1916, AGED 20. HE IS BURIED AT REGINA TRENCH CEMETERY, GRANDCOURT, SOMME, FRANCE.

HIS NAME IS LISTED HULL’S ST MARKS WW1 STREET MEMORIAL.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 8TH NOVEMBER 1916, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH.*

HIS FATHER, PRIVATE, WILLIAM JUBB, 3/7463, 3RD EYR WAS DISCHARGED ON /01/1915, AWARDED THE SILVER WAR BADGE (N0: 3/7463) AND DIED ON 14/09/1924.
