Born Hull 1890. Son of Edward Kilkenney and Margarete, of 13, Deighton Place, Charles Street, Hull (War Pension address). His mother remarried and became Mrs Yeaman at this address. Second of four sons. Brothers, james, Edward and Joseph. He worked as a dock Labourer.
Enlisted at Hull on 07/05/1915. Served in the 1/4th EYR. Posted to France, on 27/10/1915. Discharged on 28 Aug 1917, with chronic bronchitis. Awarded the Silver War Badge No: 132977. He retired, incapacitated (1939 Census). Died at Hull in 1949, aged 59.
