HE ENLISTED AT THE SPORTS GROUND, SYDNEY, ON 01/05/1916, AGED 31 YEARS AND 11 MONTHS. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT 8 INCHES TALL, 166 LBS WEIGHT, 37 INCH CHEST, HAZEL EYES, BROWN HAIR,ROMAN CATHOLIC RELIGION. HE LEFT SYDNEY, FOR PLYMOUTH, ENGLAND ON 09/09/1916. STATIONED AT BOVINGTON. ARRIVED IN ETAPLES, FRANCE ON 04/02/1917.
