SON OF CHARLES ALBERT KINSLEY (1873-1929) & ELLEN MORAY MELVIN (1876-1930), OF 126, FLINTON STREET, HULL(1911 CENSUS), 5, HERBERT;S TERRACE, WESTBOURNE STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS) & 11 FORSYTHE PLACE, CROMARTY, SCOTLAND. (NAVAL RECORDS ADRRESS). SON OF AN ENGINE DRIVER. HE HAD FOUR BROTHERS AND TWO SISTERS. HE SERVED AS A TRIMMER, ON THE TRAWLER, “TOWHEE”. LOST AT SEAN, ON 15/06/1917, AGED 21. COMMEMORATED ON THE CHATHAM NAVLA MEMORIAL, KENT AND AT ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH, NEWINGTON, HULL.

Built by GOOLE SHIPBUILDING & REPAIRING CO. LTD., GOOLE (Dutch River) for Kelsall Brothers & Beeching, Hull as the TOWHEE (H987); Yard No 111; Launch Date: 04/1908; Completed June 1908; Requisitioned by Admiralty in WW1; Lost without trace while on escort duty in the English Channel on 15 June 1917 Also reported as ´probable struck a mine´ & ´Skipper Ellison RNR´ James Webster, 18 Argyle Square , Wick.
