Lamming, Wilfred

Born Melton Ross, Lincolnshire, 1891. Son of William and Fanny Lamming, of Melton Ross, Lincolnshire. A Farming family. He had six brothers and two sisters. A Contractor Horseman.

He enlisted in Hull. Served with the Hull Railway Pals. Killed in action, on 26/01/1916, aged 25. His army effects were left to his father, William.

His brothers John Henry Lamming, 3/2762, KOYLI, Charles Lamming, Royal Engineers, Arthur Lamming, Royal Engineers, Thomas Lanning, Lincolnshire Regiment, served in the war and were wounded. His youngest brother, Private, Ernest Lamming, 240710, 5th Lincolnshire regiment was killed in action, on 20 Jun 1917, aged 22.
