BORN SUNK ISLAND 1889.  SON OF CHARLES LANGHAM OR LANHAM (1861-1940) & MARY JANE HARNESS (1852-1920). HE HAD SIX BROTHERS AND ONE SISTER, KATE WHO ALL SURVIVED THE WAR. HE WORKED AS A FARM FOREMAN, AT SKEFFLING, PATRINGTON (1911 CENSUS).

HE MARRIED AT PATRINGTON, IN 1909. HIS WIFE, FLORENCE DEARING ( 8/10/1887 – 1967) & THREE SONS, WILLIAM, JAMES AND STANLEY, LIVED AT 7, CLONDMERE AVENUE, SOMERSET STREET, HULL4, SLEUICE STREET, SOUTH FERRIBY (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

ENLISTED HULL. SERVED WITH THE 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 12/05/1917, AGED 28. COMMEMORATED ON THE ARRAS MEMORIAL, FRANCE.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, FLORENCE.

HIS SON WILLIAM (1909-1988)WAS BORN BEFORE WEDLOCK AND MR CHARLES LANHAM OF WYTON, GANSTED BECAME HIS GUARDIAN. (WAR PENSION RECORDS).
